I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT...
REGISTRATION AND AGM
Registration for the 2019-2020 season will be held on September 10, 2019. Please see our advertisement on our Facebook page for times to attend. On this evening, we accept payment for fees, a volunteer cheque and costume cheque which are held for the year, and your child's registration forms. Please remember there is a $20 non-refundable registration fee. See our TUDC handbook for further information, club policies and other questions you may have (Documents page). The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for September 24, 2019 at 6 pm, with a General Club Meeting to follow starting at 6:30 pm. Executive positions are nominated at the AGM, and discussions surrounding which competitions to attend are also held this evening at the general meeting.
COMPETITIONS AND YEAR END CONCERT
2019 Year End Concert:
Sunday May 3, 2020
Groups 2-4 Attending:
Westlock - March 7, 2020
Lloydminster - March 20-22, 2020
The club discusses competitions at the AGM, and decides by mid-October with input from all members. This is one of the biggest decisions the club makes for the year, so attendance at the AGM is crucial to get a good view of what the parents and dancers would like to see for the upcoming season.
As a parent run club, our TUDC family depends on the volunteering of parents and grandparents to continue running. Every second year, the club attends a Casino over two days and works shifts to earn a large amount of money that assists the club with its day to day expenses. As well, each family signs up for a specific volunteer duty to be responsible for during the year. More information can be found in the TUDC handbook (see Documents page).
Once again we are planning our Pyrogy Supper and Performance at Newbrook Hall in the early months of 2020. Stay tuned for details!
This year the club sold Chocolate Covered Almonds for a fundraiser, and still have them available. Please call or email if interested!
COSTUMES & CLUB APPAREL
The Club owns and maintains all their own costumes and props. We have a span of costumes including many regions of Ukraine, including the styles of Hutzul, Bukovinian, Poltava and Transcarpathian. We are continuously added to and/or replacing our costumes, and take great pride in them. If you are part of the TUDC family and your child's costume is returned damaged beyond repair of our volunteer Costume Committee members, your costume cheque is cashed to replace the item.
The Club also works with a company to get logo'd clothing, apparel and accessories. The deadline for ordering for the 2019 season is now past. Check back next year!
